Poet and artist Dawn Nilo was born in 1968. In 2007 she started developing the art of the fool, an experimental performance method exercising absurdity, play, the imagination and consciousness studies. As an artist and teacher she combines poetry, installations and experimental theater to create social sculptures. She has taught and performed in North America, Scandinavia and middle Europe and has exhibited or performed at various venues in Switzerland, including the Schaulager Museum in Basel. She has a master of education from Antioch New England Graduate School and currently teaches at the Institute for Art and Design in Basel.
